Setup form for adding Custom fields (Additional labels)

This guide will walk you through the process of adding additional custom fields to the requisition module.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have the following:

  • Access to Asite: Ensure you have the necessary permissions to complete the setup form.

Step-by-Step Guide to completing Setup form for additional custom fields

Step 1: Log in to the Asite Platform

  1. Open your web browser and navigate to the Asite Marketplace platform.

  2. On the top-right of homepage, click 'Login'

  3. A pop-up will open, asking for the following information

  4. Email Address

  5. Password - If you have forgotten your password, you can reset this by clicking on 'Forgot Password?'

  6. 4. Click 'Login'

  7. If your login was successful, you will be taken back to the home page, however you should now see your name in the top-right corner.

Step 2: Navigate to Custom fields form

  1. Click on your initials and from the drop down select Adoddle view

  2. Navigate to Project forms along the top header

  3. Select Setup from the menu bar on the left

  4. Select Asite Standard setup from the lefthand bar menu

  5. Select create form the menu bar on the top right

4. Add Custom Fields:

  • Select Requisition type, Manual, catalogue or directory

  • Sync Project to contract field is used when retrieving additional data from the CDE module

  • Add the custom field label title

  • Add the new fields by specifying their type (e.g., text, number, dropdown, date etc).

  • Name the fields appropriately, ensuring they are descriptive for users filling out the requisition forms.

  • Set any necessary validation rules (e.g., required fields, character limits) and default values if needed.

  • Confirm whether this is a required field or not

5. Arrange and Save the Form Layout:

  • Arrange the custom fields in the form layout according to your needs.

  • Click Send to save changes

  • New fields will be applied to the requisition and Purchase order form.

6. Test the Requisition Form:

  • Test the form by creating a new requisition. Ensure that the new fields appear as expected and function correctly.
