aDrive Desktop – V 3.0.2 Pre-Release Notification – OPTIONAL UPDATE

Updated this week

Scheduled for release on the 31st of August 2025, we are pleased to notify you in advance about key enhancements and improvements to the aDrive Desktop version.

Key enhancements include:

  • New Project Opt-Out setting in the web: Project administrators will now have the option to opt out of the aDrive Desktop synchronisation process for their projects to be secure on the Asite CDE Cloud only. This security enhancement guarantees that all data is collaboratively created and edited via the Microsoft Office 365 online connector and exclusively saved in the CDE cloud only. Ensure that you upgrade to aDrive Desktop V3.0.2 to benefit from this function.

  • Improved Installation Package: By relocating the entire package to the user desktop's "Program Files" folder during installation, the security of aDrive Desktop will be significantly strengthened, giving IT administrators complete control and limiting end-user access.

  • Enhanced SSO framework: The aDrive Desktop tool upgrade will ensure compatibility with the conditional access policy of the customer's Microsoft Azure account, enhancing their security measures while managing their users.

  • Support for Deleted / Deactivated Revisions – The aDrive desktop upgrade will ensure that any deactivated/deleted files are automatically removed from their local device. Ensure that you upgrade to aDrive Desktop V3.0.2 to enable this function.

  • Bug Fixes: General bug fixes and performance Improvements.

This is an OPTIONAL upgrade, but we recommend Admins / Users to upgrade as soon as possible to benefit from the enhancements and improvements. The aDrive Desktop v3.0.2 will continue to be compatible with the existing 3.0.1 version, but new functions will not be available for use.
