How Do I Access aMail Settings Through My Email in Outlook Web?

Follow these steps to access the aMail settings in Outlook on your web browser:

  1. Log in to Outlook on your web browser and select the email you want to save to Asite.

  2. Click on the 'Apps' button located at the top-right corner of Outlook. You will find the aMail option here.

  3. Click on the 'aMail' icon, then select 'Settings' to access the aMail settings.

  4. The aMail panel will open on the right-hand side, providing preferences for how you want to save the email.


Understanding Save Email Preferences

In the aMail panel, you can choose how emails and attachments are saved:

  • Save email with attachments

    • Saves the email and all attachments in the selected folder. The email is stored as the primary file in Asite with attachments linked as secondary files.

    • Optional: Save attachment as separate file: store the email and each attachment as individual files instead of grouped.

  • Save email without attachments

    • Saves only the email without any attachments.

  • Save attachments only

    • Saves only the attachments without the email.

    • If there are multiple attachments, they are saved as a zip file named after the email subject.

    • Optional: Save attachment as a separate file: saves each attachment individually.


Settings: Select Location

  1. After selecting your email preference, click Choose Location to select where the email will be saved.

2. Use the drop-down to pick from your most recently used or favourite folders in Asite. By default, the top 10 folders from these lists are shown

NOTE: To view all projects in Asite, open the drop-down menu in aMail and select All.


Create a Folder on the Asite via MS Outlook Using aMail

While saving an email to Asite using aMail in MS Outlook, click the + icon on the right side of the folder panel to create a new folder or subfolder directly on the Asite platform.

To create a folder, you must have the required permission on the Asite platform. To learn more about folder permissions, Click here.

NOTE: When you create a folder or subfolder on Asite using aMail in MS Outlook, the “Allow saving emails from aMail” setting is automatically enabled by default.
