Two-Factor Authentication

This article will explain Asite's Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) process.


2FA via Email or Authenticator App

  • 2FA adds an extra verification step after the first sign-in step is complete.

  • The first sign-in step can be completed using either:

Sign-in Method

Description

Cloud Login

Users sign in with their Asite email address and password.

Single Sign-On

Users sign in through their organisation's SSO provider.

  • After the first sign-in step, 2FA may be required to complete access to Asite.

  • The verification code can be provided by:

Email

A verification code is sent by email from notifications@asite.com.

Authenticator App

A 6-digit code is generated by an authenticator app, such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy.

  • If access to the authenticator app is lost, use one of recovery codes provided during account setup.

TIP: If the verification code expires or is not received, sign in again to generate a new code.


Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) Setup

  1. Open the Asite login page.

  2. Enter your login credentials.

  3. Click Login.

  4. In the Configure Two-Factor Authentication page, click Continue.

  5. In the Set Up Authenticator App pop-up, scan the QR code shown using an authenticator app on your mobile device.

    TIP: Authenticator apps can be downloaded from Google Play Store for Android devices or the Apple App Store for Apple devices.

  6. Enter the 6-digit code generated by the authenticator app.

  7. Click Verify Now.

  8. Five recovery codes will be displayed. Save the codes.

    • Available options include:

      • Print

      • Copy

      • Download

      • Regenerate

  9. Click Done.

  10. The main login page will open.

  11. Enter your login credentials again.

  12. Click Login.

  13. A prompt will appear requesting a 6-digit code from the connected authenticator app.

  14. Enter the 6-digit code.

  15. Click Authenticate.

  16. The Asite platform will open.
