How Can I Move or Transfer Files Between Projects in Asite?
Moving Files Within the Same Project
Asite allows you to move published files within the same Project, specifically between Folders. To move Files:
Log in to Asite CDE.
Select the Folder.
Navigate to the Files tab.
File list opens.
Right-click on the File.
Select Move Files.
A Target Folder pop-up will appear
Choose the destination Folder within the same Project.
After selecting the Folder, click Submit.
NOTE: This functionality is limited to intra-project file organisation and does not support moving Files between Projects.
Transferring Files Between Projects
Asite does not support direct file movement or copying between projects. However, you can use the following manual workaround to transfer files from one project to another:
Download the Files: Locate the files in the incorrect project and download them to your local device.
Deactivate the Files: To avoid duplicates or confusion, deactivate the files in the original project after downloading them.
Upload to the Correct Project: Navigate to the correct project and upload the files to the appropriate folder.
This process ensures that files are correctly relocated while maintaining project organisation.
