Form Design UI Walkthrough

This article will compare the current AppBuilder interface with the updated Form Designer experience.

The updated Form Designer introduces a redesigned interface for creating, editing, and viewing Forms. The update simplifies navigation, groups related controls and settings, and allows more configuration to be completed directly on the Form canvas.

Updated Features

(1) Controls Palette

  • Previously, all controls were displayed in a single list within the left-hand palette.

  • Controls are now grouped into the following categories:

    • Text

    • Choices

    • Basic

    • Tables

  • The groups can be expanded or collapsed, making it easier to locate the required control while retaining the existing drag-and-drop behaviour.
