Users on Asite having 'Admin' permission on the folder can publish file folders as subfolders on the projects/project templates accessible to them. This will include
all files as well as the content of all subfolders that are a part of the file folder being
published.
If you're publishing as a parent folder, you can learn how to publish a file folder as a parent folder on the project.
Below are the steps to publish a file folder on your local device storage as a sub-folder on your Asite project:
1. Navigate to the project or project template from folder tree navigation under
the 'Files' tab, then select the required folder for publishing subfolders in the 'Files' tab.
2. From the top right side, click the 'Upload' dropdown and select 'Folders'.
Alternatively, you can drag and drop the folder to be published from your local device storage to the file listing area at this stage and skip to Step 6 below.
3. It will populate a file explorer window from which you can search for and select the file folder that needs to be published from your local system.
Note: The options in the file explorer window may appear differently depending on your operating system.
4. Select a local folder to publish as a subfolder on the selected project folder and click the 'Upload' option to continue.
5. A browser prompt will appear asking you to confirm if you want to continue publishing all files available from the selected folder to Asite. Select 'Upload' to continue.
6. The 'Upload' window appears, listing out the folder selected for publishing and its
size, including the number of subfolders and files included in the selected folder
mentioned separately.
At this stage, you can publish more folders by clicking on 'Select Folder(s)' or stop uploading one or more of the selected folders by clicking the icon opposite the selected folder's name.
7. Click 'Upload' to continue. The activity centre will then appear at the bottom right
of the window and display the progress of folder uploads. It will automatically
close once the selected folders are published successfully.
Irrespective of the configuration, files that are part of the folder getting
published will be published without any attribute details (i.e. it will be considered
as files published via 'simple upload').
Clicking 'Cancel' on the 'Upload' window will stop publishing the selected folders
and take you back to the files listing area.
