How Do I Resume a Failed Workflow Instance

This article will explain how to resume a workflow instance if it has failed within your project on Asite.

Manage Workflow Rules

The Manage Workflow Rules role privilege is required on the project where the failed workflow instance is to be resumed.

How Do I Resume a Failed Workflow?

  1. Select the project containing the failed workflow.

  2. On the Workflows tab and locate the required Failed workflow.

  3. Select the Workflow Name to open the Workflow Status screen.

  4. Review the workflow progress and identify the cause of failure.

  5. Resolve the issue causing the workflow failure.

  6. Refresh the page and reopen the workflow.

  7. Select Resume Workflow in the (top-right corner).

  8. The workflow continues from the point of failure.

NOTE: Resume the workflow only after the issue causing the failure has been resolved.

Notifications

Users with the Manage Workflow Rules privilege receive an email notification when a workflow fails. The notification includes the reason for the failure.

NOTE:

  • Only users with the Manage Workflow privilege will be notified if the workflow fails.

  • Resuming a workflow only applies to the selected workflow instance for that specific object (file, form or custom object). Any other workflows associated with the same object remain unaffected.
