What is Autodesk Navisworks Manage?

Autodesk Navisworks Manage software is a comprehensive project review solution that supports coordination, analysis, and communication of design intent and constructability.

Run the installer and follow the instructions to continue.

Once the Asite Navisworks plugin is installed, you can see a new tab named 'Asite' every time you open a 3D model in Autodesk Navisworks Manage. This tab will have options named 'Connect to Asite', 'Clashes to Issues' and 'Attach NWD'.

'Connect to Asite' enables you to connect your 3D model files opened in Autodesk Navisworks Manage with the Asite Cloud.

'Clashes to Issues' enables you to export 'Clashes' created in Navisworks Manage as 'Issues' in your project model on Asite.

'Attach NWD' enables you to open your project models on Asite, instantly convert them as native .NWD file and attach it as an attachment or secondary file to your project model on Asite.

'Attach NWF' enables you to open your project models on Asite, instantly convert them as native .NWF file and upload it as an attachment to your project model on Asite.

'Load NWF' enables you to load NWFs saved for your model on Asite if any, so that all your application settings like current views and clash results can get loaded directly based on the selected NWF file.

1. Once a model file is open in Autodesk Navisworks Manage, click on 'Connect to Asite'.

2. It will open a new layered screen with an option to login to Asite. Choose the relevant cloud - Asite Cloud / Asite US Gov. Cloud (Hosted in AWS GovCloud (US) / Asite UAE Cloud / Asite KSA Cloud / Asite Canada Cloud / Asite Hong Kong Cloud - as applicable, then enter login details i.e. your registered email address and your Asite account password.

3. Once logged in, select appropriate project from the dropdown or use filter options to search for required project.

Then select required project model to continue.

4. Now, click on 'Sync' button to start synchronizing all the files from selected model (including secondary file if it is in .NWC file format) to Navisworks.

1. Once a model file is open in Autodesk Navisworks Manage, click on 'Clashes to Issues'.

2. Use 'Clash Detective' in Navisworks Manage and generate a clash report for the selected model file.

3. Once the clash report is populated, create a clash group by selecting clashes which needs to be raised as issues on your project model in Asite.

4. Then select 'Clashes to Issues' option under 'Asite' tab.

5. Select the group from the next screen and click on 'Export' option.

6. All clashes in the group are exported as issues on project model in Asite successfully.

Under the 'Asite' tab, click on 'Go to Issues' option to go to 'Issue Manager' for selected project model in Asite where you can view all the issues on selected model including all the exported issues from Navisworks Manage if any.

1. Once a model file is open in Autodesk Navisworks Manage, click on 'Attach NWD'. NWD is a file extension in which the model file will be saved by Navisworks Manage.

2. A converted .NWD file version of selected Asite project model open in Navisworks Manage will get uploaded to Asite as an attachment or secondary file on the related project model on Asite and a relevant message will appear on the screen.

3. Audit trail for that project model on Asite will be updated to show the newly attached file.

1. Once a model file is open in Autodesk Navisworks Manage, click on 'Attach NWF'. NWF is a file extension in which the model file will be saved by Navisworks Manage.

2. A converted .NWF file version of selected Asite project model open in Navisworks Manage will get uploaded to Asite as an attachment or secondary file on the related project model on Asite (along-with date and time information) and a relevant message will appear on the screen.

3. Audit trail for that project model on Asite will be updated to show the newly attached file.

1. Once a model file is open in Autodesk Navisworks Manage, click on 'Load NWF'.

2. The NWF files attached by the logged in user will appear as a list for loading to the model open in Navisworks Manage. Select the relevant NWF based on mentioned date and time and continue to load the view and clash results as per the session specific to selected NWF.
