Edit a Dashboard

This article helps you to understand how to edit an existing dashboard.

A dashboard can be edited to change its details and permissions.

Pre-requisites:

  • 'Admin' permission on the dashboard which is to be edited.

Below are the steps to edit an existing dashboard:

1. From the 'Dashboard' tab, go to the 'Tools' menu and select 'Manage Dashboards'.

2. A list of all existing dashboards will appear. Different options to manage a dashboard will appear at the right side corresponding to each of the records.

3. Click on edit icon against a dashboard record.

4. A layered screen appears. Edit the dashboard details as shown below:

Field Name

Description

Dashboard Title

Edit the title of selected dashboard.

Dashboard Description

Edit the description of selected dashboard.

Set Default

To make the selected dashboard appear for you as default upon login, next login onwards.

Share

To share the selected dashboard with specific contacts in your organization, all users within a project or distribution group as required. Key in and select the relevant names from the dropdown list if required. Once selected, right click on the name of selected user / project / distribution group and assign 'Admin' or 'View' permissions on the dashboard.

Clone Dashboard

Select from any of the existing dashboards to clone and apply all of its gadgets on the dashboard being edited.

5. Once done, click 'Update' to apply the changes. Click here to understand how to add gadgets in your dashboard.
