Edit a Dashboard

This article helps you to understand how to edit an existing dashboard.

A dashboard can be edited to change its details and permissions.

Pre-requisites:

  • 'Admin' permission on the dashboard which is to be edited.

Below are the steps to edit an existing dashboard:

1. From the 'Dashboard' tab, go to the 'Tools' menu and select 'Manage Dashboards'.

2. A list of all existing dashboards will appear. Different dashboard management options appear against each record.

3. Click the (edit) icon against a dashboard record.

4. A layered screen appears. Edit the dashboard details as shown below:

Field Name

Description

Dashboard Title

To edit the title of the selected dashboard.

Dashboard Description

To edit the description of the selected dashboard.

Set Default

To make the selected dashboard appear for you as default upon login, next login onwards.

Share

To share the selected dashboard with specific contacts in your organisation, or all users within a project or distribution group if required. Key in and choose the relevant names from the dropdown list if necessary. Once selected, right-click on the name of the selected user, project, or distribution group and assign 'Admin' or 'View' permissions on the dashboard.

Clone Dashboard

Choose from any existing dashboard to clone and apply all its gadgets to the selected dashboard.

5. Once you've made the changes, click 'Update' to apply the changes. Click here to understand how to add gadgets to your dashboard.
