You may receive automated notifications from Asite in scenarios as detailed below.
Notifications via the Bell icon
Once logged in to Asite, the 'Bell' icon will show at the top right side of the screen. Clicking it will display notifications that you may receive in the following scenarios:
When you are assigned to a new project.
When new file tasks or form tasks are assigned to you.
When aMessages on project files are shared with you.
When someone mentions you in a file comment, i.e. an aMessage.
When specific activities are carried out by other users in project folders or files where you have enabled 'Start Watching' (based on configuration).
For activities performed in batches, there will be a single notification per batch activity.
Clicking on a notification received via this option will navigate you to a relevant screen within the platform.
If you need to clear (remove) notifications via the Bell icon, click the 'Clear All' link at the top right of the notifications. Cleared notifications cannot be retrieved.
Browser Notifications
Browser notifications are currently supported in Microsoft Edge (Version 15 and higher), the latest versions of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Apple Safari.
Once successfully logged in to Asite, based on your web browser's compatibility, a prompt will appear asking you to grant permission to get notifications from within the browser. If you allow it, you won't be asked again unless the consent is revoked later. If not, such a prompt will reappear the next time you log in to Asite.
You may receive browser notifications in the following scenarios:
When a project notice is published (based on configuration).
When activities are carried out by other users in project folders or files where you have enabled 'Start Watching' (based on configuration).
Each browser notification pop-up will have a visibility period of 5 seconds. Based on your response, it may or may not reappear the next time you log in to Asite. For activities performed in batches, there will be a single instant notification per batch activity.
Email Notifications
You may receive email notifications from Asite in different scenarios as mentioned below:
Daily summary of incomplete tasks and unread comments (based on your user account preferences).
When you are assigned to a new project.
When new tasks are assigned to you on files or forms (based on your user account preferences).
When aMessages on project files are shared with you (based on your user account preferences).
When someone mentions you in a file comment, i.e. an aMessage.
When activities are carried out by other users in project folders or files where you have enabled 'Start Watching' (based on configuration).
When a file revision you are involved with is checked out by another user in the project (based on your user account preferences).
When a workflow or a system task in a project you are involved with has failed.
When a file sent to a project mailbox you are involved with cannot be published.
When reports are scheduled for you (based on configuration).
You can click on the links in emails from Asite. Once logged in, it should direct you to a relevant screen within the platform.
How can I stop receiving email notifications?
You can stop receiving certain email notifications from Asite by adjusting your account's email notification preferences.
For specific types of email notifications, such as those related to workflow or system task failures, you may need to take certain steps, such as deactivating the relevant workflow or system task to stop those emails and reactivating once you have adjusted them to start working as expected.
