From October 15th, 2026, signing in to Asite requires Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) via a Time-based One-Time Password (TOTP) Authenticator app for every user on your account, including anyone using SSO and any external users on your Projects.
This change supports a more secure login process and helps protect Project information, user accounts, and Project data.
A few months ago, we extended the TOTP rollout to give teams more time to prepare. October 15th, 2026 is now the confirmed rollout date.
Before rollout:
Download and install an Authentication App: Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or the authentication app used by your organisation. Setup guidance can be found here.
Inform your supply chain and external users to also install an authentication app. Without one, they won't be able to access the Asite platform from October 15th, 2026.
If you'd like it sooner, let your Customer Success Representative or Account Manager know at your earliest convenience.
Otherwise, there's nothing to do. TOTP switches on automatically for everyone on your account.
If you'd rather opt out:
2FA adds a second layer of security to your Asite account. Instead of relying on your password alone, it requires you to verify your identity using two distinct factors, so your account stays protected even if someone else knows your password.
We highly recommend keeping 2FA via TOTP enabled. It's a simple, effective way to help protect your organisation's information and the wider supply chain.
You can switch off 2FA if you'd prefer, but doing so will increase the exposure of your account. If you'd still like to opt out, email customersuccess@asite.com by August 31st, 2026.
If you access Asite through another organisation (for example, a Tier 1 contractor), please also email that organisation's account admin, as TOTP is controlled by the main organisation's password policy and their sign-off is needed before we can turn off mandatory TOTP on your account.
NOTE: We're retiring email One-Time Passwords (OTP) as a sign-in method once TOTP is fully in place. If anyone on your account still uses email OTP, now's the time to move them to an authenticator app. This enhances your account security, and we wanted our customers to have time to prepare properly. Thank you for your patience through the rollout.
Thank you,
The Asite Team
