Users on Asite can clone any of the existing dashboards including the system dashboard using the 'Clone Dashboard' functionality.
Cloning of dashboard allows you to quickly replicate an existing dashboard into new one. It helps in minimizing efforts involved while creating a blank new dashboard and then adding similar gadgets all over again.
Please follow below steps to clone an existing dashboard:
1. Open the existing dashboard screen which you want to clone, then click 'Tools' on the top right side of screen and select 'Clone Dashboard' from the dropdown options.
2. Key in the required details for cloning an existing dashboard:
Field Name | Description |
Dashboard Title | Enter a name for the dashboard being created. |
Description | Enter a description for the dashboard being created. |
Set Default | Make the dashboard being created to appear for you as default upon login, next login onwards. |
Share | Share the dashboard being created with specific contacts within the organization, all users within a project or distribution group as required. Key in and select relevant names from the dropdown list. Once selected, right click on the name of selected user / project / distribution group and assign 'Admin' or 'View' permissions on the new dashboard. |
Clone Dashboard | Keep existing dashboard selected in the 'Clone Dashboard' dropdown as it is, to continue cloning the selected dashboard and apply all of its gadgets on the dashboard being created as required. |
3. Click 'Create' to complete cloning the selected dashboard. The newly created dashboard will have all the gadgets of existing dashboard that you had selected for cloning.
