Add PDF Drawing to Location

This article helps you understand how to add PDF drawing plan to your locations and sub locations.

Users on Asite who have the required privilege can add and remove drawing plans in PDF format for a location. Detailed help is as mentioned below:

  1. Navigate to the 'Field' tab. The left-hand panel will show a list of all projects. Click the required project and its location, and sub-location. Right-click the location for which you need to add a drawing plan.

  2. Select 'Add Drawing' from the right-click menu options, then select the 'Upload File' option.

    You can drag and drop the PDF drawing plan or use the 'Select File' option to upload files from your computer.

    Select the required PDF drawing plan from your local device storage and click the 'Upload' option on the right.
    Alternatively, select the 'Use File from Project' option to select any one of the PDF files accessible from the same project as a location drawing plan PDF.

    Select the required PDF drawing plan from the listed project files and click the 'Use File' option on the right.

  3. To remove a drawing plan, right-click the location, select 'Remove' in the right-click menu and then select the 'Remove Drawing' option.

    Click 'OK' to continue. The drawing for the selected location will be removed and will not be available the next time.

Print Forms with Location Pins

Users can print forms along with their associated location pins to easily identify the exact location on the drawing.

How Do I Print a Form with a Location Pin?

  1. Select the required Project.

  2. Navigate to the Field tab.

  3. Select the required location from the left panel.

  4. Locate the required form from the forms listing.

  5. Click the form to open it in the form viewer.

  6. Click the more options icon (top-right).

  7. Select Location from the dropdown.

  8. On the drawing, click the required location pin.

  9. Click Print from the available options.

  10. In the Export to PDF pop-up, select Incl. Plan View.

  11. Click Print Preview.

    • The selected location pin will be displayed in the print preview.

  12. Click the print icon (top-right) to print the form.

NOTE: To print directly from the forms listing, right-click the required form and select Print All.
