This article helps you understand how to start a Microsoft Teams meeting from within Asite.

There are three ways to start a Microsoft Teams meeting from Asite. Click on the relevant link below:


A. Start a Microsoft Teams meeting from Asite Application

2. Upon successful login, you will be navigated to the Asite Dashboard.

3. Click on video call icon available in the header section (top right corner).

Note: This icon will be available at the same place throughout the application to create a meeting.

4. Select 'Start Teams Meeting' to continue.

5. A new browser window will appear upon click of the meeting icon, navigating you to the Microsoft Teams login page.

Note: Signing in to Microsoft Teams is only required once to initiate a meeting, unless browser cache data is not cleared.

6. Once successfully logged in, you will be asked to grant Asite the permission to read and create your online meetings, view your basic profile and maintain access to data you have given it access to. Click 'Accept' to continue.

Note: Authorizing is only required once to initiate a meeting.

7. You will get options to join the meeting by downloading / opening the Microsoft Teams app, or join directly from the web browser. Select an option that suits you and continue.

8. Now, you are good to join the meeting. Set your microphone and camera as required, enter your name and then click 'Join now' to continue.

9. To organize the meeting and invite other users to your meeting, click on 'sign in' link.

10. Click 'Join now' from the sign in page to continue.

11. Here, you can invite other users, share your screen with the meeting participants, make an audio or video call and use all other features as available in your Microsoft Teams account.


B. Start a Microsoft Teams meeting from Asite File Viewer

2. Upon successful login, you will be navigated to the Asite Dashboard.

3. Go to Files area.

4. From the files listing, click the doc ref / file name for which meeting is to be initiated.

5. The file will open in viewer.

6. Click on video call icon available in the header section (top right corner).

7. Select 'Start Teams Meeting' to continue.

8. A new browser window will appear upon click of the meeting icon, navigating you to the Microsoft Teams login page.

Note: Signing in to Microsoft Teams is only required once to initiate a meeting, unless browser cache data is not cleared.

9. Enter your Microsoft Teams login credentials to continue logging in to your Microsoft Teams account.

10. Once successfully logged in, you will be asked to grant Asite the permission to read and create your online meetings, view your basic profile and maintain access to data you have given it access to. Click 'Accept' to continue.

C. Start a Microsoft Teams meeting from Asite Form Viewer

2. Upon successful login, you will be navigated to the Asite Dashboard.

3. Go to 'Project Forms' area.

4. From the forms listing, click the form id / form title for which meeting is to be initiated.

5. The form will open in viewer.

6. Click on video call icon available in the header section (top right corner).

7. Select 'Start Teams Meeting' to continue.

8. A new browser window will appear upon click of the meeting icon, navigating you to the Microsoft Teams login page.

Note: Signing in to Microsoft Teams is only required once to initiate a meeting, unless browser cache data is not cleared.
