We are pleased to bring you our latest release : Adoddle 20.4. The release includes exciting new features as well as performance optimizations and bug fixes.

Adoddle 20.4 Release New Features and Key Enhancements

File upload interface and process upgrade:

Vastly improved interface for better user experience.
Introducing parallel processing for faster uploads.
Available to both Adoddle and Classic users.

Adoddle Field enhancements:

Improved filters for easier searching.
Improved Files, Apps and Defects listing to display all key information.
Introducing left swipe action to fetch additional information on Files, Apps and Defects.

Enhancement to support IDP (Information Delivery Plan):

Enhanced workflow for defining the available statuses for the ‘Edit Status’ operation.

Enhancement to support asset management process and project protocols adherence:

Automatically rename downloaded files using custom attributes.

Mandatory project notices: Project notices can now be set as mandatory which means such notices will not have a ‘Dismiss’ option, and will be displayed by default upon login.

Adoddle aMessage app enhancements: Adoddle aMessage app available on App Store / Play Store now allows users to view full aMessage content on Files or Models. In case of groups, users can now view full name of the user sending an aMessage including the profile picture.

Discontinuing support for TLS 1.0 from next release: Asite will discontinue TLS 1.0 support from next release version 20.5, because TLS 1.0 is most susceptible to SSL exploits. We will support TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2.

1. Adoddle Web Application

Adoddle provides a unique and comprehensive set of capabilities in a single, unified environment to manage your Drawings, Project Schedules, BIM Models, Reports and Apps and share information across teams spread across different geographies.

Adoddle allows teams to access, capture, track and re-use data throughout the lifecycle of an asset from Feasibility to Facilities Management.

The following Section provides further details of the Improvements and New Features added to the Platform.

1.1 Adoddle Platform

Mandatory project notices: Project notices can now be set as mandatory which means such notices will not have a ‘Dismiss’ option, and will be displayed by default upon login.

Updated prompt while assigning roles to users outside of project: When trying to assign Key Free users / users not registered with Asite / users having private account, the prompt message will now direct users to the Asite Shop / Invite Users screen as applicable.

Listing export updates: The export function within the Adoddle WebApp listing and audit functions has been enhanced to display the date with time stamp values.

1.2 Adoddle Files

File upload interface and process upgrade: The Adoddle WebApp file upload function has been upgraded with interface improvements and speed optimization. The interface is improved to provide users with an easy drag and drop mechanism to move file meta-data columns, resize column width, to suit user needs. The Upload distribution module also has been upgraded to enable view and select Users, Distribution Groups, Roles, Organizations and bulk apply, like the interface available within the online viewer. This upgrade is applicable to both Adoddle View and Classic View users.

Discontinuing support for Advanced Upload (applet upload) from next release: It is proposed to discontinue the support for Advanced Upload (applet based) in Adoddle and Classic views from next release version 20.5. The Thin Client upload interface already provides a robust method of drag and drop files, switching columns, resizing column width and the asynchronous upload in the background also improves the upload speeds significantly.

The Import from excel function will be included within the Thin client (no plug-in) upload interface such that all file meta-data can be imported via an excel file once files are added. Additionally, the support for x-refs shall continue to be supported via Adoddle Navigator and the AutoCAD plugins.

Setting up placeholders without distribution: Users can now create placeholders without the mandatory distribution step.

PDF output to exclude Doc. Type: The PDF output generated for the Universal Web Viewer enabled projects to exclude the Doc. Type value.

1.3 Adoddle Apps

Tender Manager 2.0: Adoddle Tender Manager App is now enhanced for better usability allowing the users to manage entire process from a single interface. It further allows the Tender team to generate Tender Register and Comparison reports from same interface. It also comes with an extended functionality for the users being able to import the BOQ via an excel template.

1.4 Adoddle Workflows

	Visual Workflow – Ability to rename files using custom attributes upon download: The Adoddle Visual Workflow tool is upgraded to enable user to download the files by renaming the filename with to the custom attribute values. This upgrade also provides administrators the ability to configure the interface to show / hide the custom attribute file renaming option, via groovy scripts.
Visual Workflow – Ability to control options on ‘Edit Status’ screen: The Adoddle Visual Workflow tool is further upgraded to enable administrators configure and control interface options on the edit file status function. This is achieved via Groovy scripts and can easily be designed to suit individual project needs.

1.5 Adoddle Tasks

Improved Display of Task Description field: The height of ‘Task Description’ box is increased and a scroll bar is added to enable users scroll for more text.

1.6 Digital Engineering

Define available statuses for the ‘Edit Status’ operation in IDP App: Within the IDP App, users will now be able to configure required file statuses for the ‘Edit Status’ operation based on purpose of issue, using groovy script.

Adoddle IDP App enhancements: The IDP App is updated to allow the boxes for stage names to accommodate the full stage names.

1.7 Adoddle Reports

Enhancements in Reports tab: A new field ‘Has_Markup’ is now added to the report category ‘Files – Extended Attributes’ which can be used while generating related reports.

2. Adoddle Field

Adoddle Field is a simple, easy-to-use tool that enables project collaboration with contacts and project teams on the move. Sign in with your Adoddle account to publish and share and Mark-up drawings, photos, other files, and issue actions to team members, allowing you to stay on top of time critical review processes. View and mark-up Building Information Models (BIM) in 3D, including the ability to drill down into the components of the model and review discipline-specific elements. Adoddle Field enables you to view and review multiple model files from disparate BIM Authoring toolsets merged into one unified model in Adoddle cBIM in the cloud. Raise RFIs, Defects / Punch lists, or any of the hundreds of other project workflow forms available in the Adoddle App Library and issue them to team members directly from your tablet with direct and automatic links to the relevant parts of any file or model. The Adoddle platform maintains a full and complete audit trail of all communications as a project progresses.

3. aMessage

aMessage is a powerful business messaging and team collaboration app that enables teams to collaborate more effectively while on the move, with a clear view of messages, tasks and files. Real time information is rapidly transforming the way people work in every sector and nowhere are the benefits clearer, then in architecture, engineering and construction. aMessage ensures a secure and private messaging, with groups and individuals. Preview content online and easily share documents and media files.

Adoddle aMessage app enhancements: Adoddle aMessage app now allows users to view full description of aMessages received on Files or Models. In case of groups, users can now view full name of the user sending an aMessage including the profile picture.

4. Adoddle Navigator

Adoddle Navigator is a user-friendly desktop application that allows you to upload 2D and 3D files and collaborate with Project teams. Adoddle users have the option to synchronize information locally while working offline on the native applications before signing-in to Adoddle and publish them as revisions.

Adoddle Navigator integrates directly with Autodesk Revit and facilities exchanging data from 3D BIM Collaborative environment such as COBie (Construction Operation Building Information Exchange). Users can connect all project data to models regardless of their BIM Authoring tool. With a centralized storage of all versions of your models in a collaborative online environment, users can harness the power of Big Data and extensible toolkit for Collaborative BIM.

Adoddle Navigator - Models: From the Apps section in Model Discussions, user can now click on the associations icon opposite the form title to view the associated form along-with complete list of its associated files, Apps, lists with hyperlinks, for quick access.

Notes:

1. Updating the applets does NOT require Administrator permissions on the local machine.

2. Clicking on ‘Always’ option when prompted with a certificate will ensure that similar prompts do not appear for current as well as any other applet signed by Asite. If this option has already been activated, these updates will be automatically installed.

3. Adoddle Navigator installation / update requires administrator rights.

4. JRE Version – Adoddle platform to support JRE 1.8 and above.

5. Support for IE 10 discontinued. Minimum requirement is IE 11.
