We are pleased to bring you our new release Adoddle 20.1 which has exciting new features as well as bug fixes and general performance improvements.
Adoddle 20.1 Release: New Features and Key Enhancements
Digital Engineering: Speedier loading of large federated models. Improved speeds up to 50% clocked for large 3D federated models.
Adoddle Apps: One-click access to view all Associations and Attachments while responding to an App message.
Adoddle Field: Users will now be displayed the badge count of unread aMessages. This benefits users to prioritize work.
1. Adoddle Web Application
Adoddle provides a unique and comprehensive set of capabilities in a single, unified environment to manage your Drawings, Project Schedules, BIM Models, Reports and Apps and share information across teams spread across different geographies.
Adoddle allows teams to access, capture, track and re-use data throughout the lifecycle of an asset from Feasibility to Facilities Management.
The following Section provides further details of the Improvements and New Features added to the Platform.
1.1 Adoddle Projects
User interface and usability improvement: The Admin function for assigning role privileges / App permissions is improved with a sleek user interface that eliminates the traditional checkboxes and enables user to select / deselect with ease. |
1.2 Adoddle Files
Discontinuation of File Viewer: The Classic view within the File View is proposed to be discontinued with the next release – Adoddle v20.2. |
1.3 Adoddle Forms
Improvement in App Viewer: Users can now view individual message or all App message associations / attachments while creating a response thread. This improves user efficiency and saves time as the user can now view all associations / attachments within the same step of responding to a message. |
1.4 Adoddle Workflows
Enabling unique document reference validation check across Project folders: Administrators can now control and validate duplicate Doc Ref’s at project level with Adoddle. We are releasing a groovy script that enables administrators configure system tasks to validate uniqueness of Doc Ref across the project folders. |
Enabling automatic assignment of users to project roles via Apps: App designers can now configure workflows that automatically assign users defined within an app to a project role. We are releasing a groovy script that enables designers map the corresponding users and project roles for automatic assignment of users to specified project roles. |
1.5 Adoddle Tasks
Tasks filter to retain filter criteria: The task filters are now persisted and retained during the user session enabling ease of use even if user navigates to other tabs and returns back to the Tasks section. |
1.6 Adoddle Models
cBIM Performance Improvement: This release upgrades the 3D online viewer. This upgrade benefits users with improved speed of viewing 3D federated models including speedier loading of the model tree. Improved speeds of up to 50% have been clocked with heavy 800 MB model files. |
1.7 Adoddle Extensibility
Amending the default user instant email notification preferences: With the next release, Adoddle v20.2, it is proposed to change the default user instant email notification preferences to NO for all tasks, except Status Change and Comment in Files and Respond on Apps side. Any preferences already saved by users shall continue to apply and be available. We encourage users to opt for instant notifications available as part of the File and Folder Watch functionality, in place of being notified via emails. |

2. Adoddle Field
Adoddle Field is a simple, easy-to-use tool that enables project collaboration with contacts and project teams on the move. Sign in with your Adoddle account to publish and share and Mark-up drawings, photos, other files, and issue actions to team members, allowing you to stay on top of time critical review processes. View and mark-up Building Information Models (BIM) in 3D, including the ability to drill down into the components of the model and review discipline-specific elements. Adoddle Field enables you to view and review multiple model files from disparate BIM Authoring toolsets merged into one unified model in Adoddle cBIM in the cloud. Raise RFIs, Defects / Punch lists, or any of the hundreds of other project workflow forms available in the Adoddle App Library and issue them to team members directly from your tablet with direct and automatic links to the relevant parts of any file or model. The Adoddle platform maintains a full and complete audit trail of all communications as a project progresses.
Quickly save Apps as draft while on the move: The Field App is being upgraded to enable users save the Apps as drafts while on the move and continue editing it at a later point of time. |

3. Adoddle Navigator
Adoddle Navigator is a user-friendly desktop application that allows you to upload 2D and 3D files and collaborate with Project teams. Adoddle users have the option to synchronize information locally while working offline on the native applications before signing-in to Adoddle and publish them as revisions.
Adoddle Navigator integrates directly with Autodesk Revit and facilities exchanging data from 3D BIM Collaborative environment such as COBie (Construction Operation Building Information Exchange). Users can connect all project data to models regardless of their BIM Authoring tool. With a centralized storage of all versions of your models in a collaborative online environment, users can harness the power of Big Data and extensible toolkit for Collaborative BIM.
Auto synchronization of files in real time: Your local working folder will be updated in real time with the latest version of files if synchronization is enabled in Adoddle Navigator – no need to wait anymore.

Notes:
1. Updating the applets does NOT require Administrator permissions on the local machine.
2. Clicking on “Always” option when prompted with a certificate will ensure that similar prompts do not appear for current as well as any other applet signed by Asite. If this option has already been activated, these updates will be automatically installed.
3. Adoddle Navigator installation / update requires administrator rights.
4. JRE Version – Adoddle platform to support JRE 1.8 and above.
5. Support for IE 10 discontinued. Minimum requirement is IE 11.
