We are pleased to bring you our new release Adoddle 19.8 which has exciting new features as well as bug fixes.
Adoddle 19.8 Release New Features and Key Enhancements
Manage Project Templates in Adoddle View: You can now manage the template folder structure along with meta data from Adoddle view.
Support for Folder Level Metadata Configuration: Administrators now have an ability to apply specific attribute values to folders. This allows you to control the list of metadata values available to the users when publishing documents. This also ensures whenever a new sub folder is created in Adoddle, it will automatically apply attribute set of parent folder if any, adding sub folders is easier!
Filter files associated to specific form: You can now isolate files associated to a form on a button click and perform your batch actions on them – talk about time saving!!!
Support for Geo-tagging your files from a map: You can now Geo Tag your files when they are published. You can make this available by applying map based configurable attribute.
Automatic conversion of reviewed files to pdf: You can now set your workflow processes to have reviewed files automatically converted to pdf and made available as a new revision. This is available via a new System action automating the process of converting completed mark-ups, comments and signatures in native file formats to PDF.
Support for Italian language: Adoddle now supports Italian language within its interface.
New Features in Adoddle Field:
Support of copying of Defects / Snags in Plan view: Users are now able to copy a defect / snag in the Plan view making it easier to log similar defects.
Actioning from email notifications received your mobile devices: You can now complete your actions by tapping links received in email notifications on your devices - completing your actions on the go made easier!
Discontinuation of Web Mobile Version: Asite Web Mobile Version (cMOB) will be discontinued after Release 19.9. Moving forward only the Adoddle Field app will be supported on mobile devices.
1. Adoddle Web Application
Adoddle provides a unique and comprehensive set of capabilities in a single, unified environment to manage your Drawings, Project Schedules, BIM Models, Reports and Apps and share information across teams spread across different geographies.
Adoddle allows teams to access, capture, track and re-use data throughout the lifecycle of an asset from Feasibility to Facilities Management.
The following Section provides further details of the Improvements and New Features added to the Platform.
1.1 Dashboard
Manage Project Templates in Adoddle View: You can now manage your Project Templates in Adoddle View itself. New option to include templates is now available in your Project filter to view your templates in Adoddle View. You can also manage the template folder structure along with meta data from Adoddle view. |
1.2 Adoddle Files
Support for Folder Level Metadata Configuration: Administrators now have an ability to apply specific attribute values to folders. This allows you to control the list of metadata values available to the users when publishing documents on certain folders. This allows you to control the quality of metadata tagged with your files. This ensures whenever a new folder will be created in Adoddle, it will automatically apply attribute set of parent folder if any.
For e.g. if there are 100 disciplines in a drop-down list for your project, admin users will now be able to filter out and configure specific values for certain folders. | |
Filter files associated to specific form: You can now isolate files associated to a specific form in the files listing which allows you to further perform batch actions on those documents. This is available from the new HTML Form View and also available as a filter in filter list. | |

Persisting your File Viewer preference: Your selection of the new HTML file Viewer will now be persisted with an option for you to switch back to the Old view. This will allow you an option to get yourself familiarised to the new viewer. Please note that we will be discontinuing the Old file viewer in future release.
1.3 Adoddle Forms
Persisting your Form Viewer preference: Your selection of the new form View will now be persisted with an option for you to switch back to the Old view. This will allow you an option to get yourself familiarised to the new view. Please note that we will be discontinuing the Old form view in future release. |
Enable Spell Checker in Forms: Adoddle Forms section is being extended to support spell checker while creating forms. |
1.4 Adoddle Workflows
Automatic conversion of reviewed files to PDF: You now have a new system action which allows you to automatically convert your reviewed file to pdf and have it available as a new version. You have option to configure the pdf file to have mark-ups and comments created well. You can use the system action in your workflows to automate this in your review process. |

Improvements in Status Change system action: You can now configure system action for Status Change not to consider current status of the file. This will allow you to streamline your review workflows where you do not want to consider current status. |
Groovy Script to support File Distribution: The Groovy Scripts are now extended to support File Distributions. This will allow additional flexibility to distribute files via workflows.
Improvements to Groovy Script Library: Groovy script library now has improved usability allowing you to use them efficiently in your workflows.

2. Adoddle Field
Adoddle Field is a simple, easy-to-use tool that enables project collaboration with contacts and project teams on the move. Sign in with your Adoddle account to publish and share and Mark-up drawings, photos, other files, and issue actions to team members, allowing you to stay on top of time critical review processes. View and mark-up Building Information Models (BIM) in 3D, including the ability to drill down into the components of the model and review discipline-specific elements. Adoddle Field enables you to view and review multiple model files from disparate BIM Authoring toolsets merged into one unified model in Adoddle cBIM in the cloud. Raise RFIs, Defects / Punch lists, or any of the hundreds of other project workflow forms available in the Adoddle App Library and issue them to team members directly from your tablet with direct and automatic links to the relevant parts of any file or model. The Adoddle platform maintains a full and complete audit trail of all communications as a project progresses.

3. Adoddle Navigator
Adoddle Navigator is a user-friendly desktop application that allows you to upload 2D and 3D files and collaborate with Project teams. Adoddle users have the option to synchronize information locally while working offline on the native applications before signing-in to Adoddle and publish them as revisions.
Adoddle Navigator integrates directly with Autodesk Revit and facilities exchanging data from 3D BIM Collaborative environment such as COBie (Construction Operation Building Information Exchange). Users can connect all project data to models regardless of their BIM Authoring tool. With a centralized storage of all versions of your models in a collaborative online environment, users can harness the power of Big Data and extensible toolkit for Collaborative BIM.

1. Updating the applets does NOT require Administrator permissions on the local machine.
2. Clicking on “Always” option when prompted with a certificate will ensure that similar prompts do not appear for current as well as any other applet signed by Asite. If this option has already been activated, these updates will be automatically installed.
3. Adoddle Navigator installation / update requires administrator rights.
4. Adoddle supports IE version 10 and above without compatibility mode.
