We are pleased to bring you our new release Adoddle 19.7 which has exciting new features as well as bug fixes.

Adoddle 19.7 Release New Features and Key Enhancements

Extensions to the Information Delivery Plan (IDP) product: Adoddle IDP, which lets you manage delivery of information during the project lifecycle, has been extended to support automated workflows and automatic creation of placeholders in compliance with PAS1192-2/3.

Beta version - Adoddle 2D web viewer in all new User Interface: A completely new user interface of Adoddle 2D Web Viewer is offered as a Beta Version.

Beta version - Improvements to Form User Interface: Adoddle is offering a Beta Version of new improved Form user interface. This new user interface has a single page view with dockable sections, easier Form distribution and simplified navigation.

Support for searching Blank values: Adoddle users can now search for blank values within all custom attributes as well as specific system attributes listed in the Files & Forms area. This facility enables users to filter records where the value in such attributes are not set.

Option to disable “Print and download” while sharing Adoddle link: A new option “Print and download” is included while using the existing Share Adoddle Link functionality. This option can be used where users want to give sneak preview of work done without allowing recipients to print or download the file.

Support for Clash Detection in Federated Models: Adoddle users can now carry out Clash Detection on Federated Models using Adoddle Navigator. This enables users to get first-hand information which helps them to identify and inspect hard and soft clashes on which users can collaborate real time using Project Forms.

New Addition in Adoddle Field Application:

Recent Defects in Adoddle Field: The Defects module is improved to allow users to create new defects from recent defects. Users can also copy a defect by swiping right to create a new defect.

1. Adoddle Web Application

Adoddle provides a unique and comprehensive set of capabilities in a single, unified environment to manage your Drawings, Project Schedules, BIM Models, Reports and Apps and share information across teams spread across different geographies.

Adoddle allows teams to access, capture, track and re-use data throughout the lifecycle of an asset from Feasibility to Facilities Management.

The following Section provides further details of the Improvements and New Features added to the platform.

1.1 Adoddle Files

Beta version - Adoddle 2D web viewer in all new User Interface: A completely new user interface of Adoddle 2D Web Viewer is offered as a Beta Version.

Support for searching Blank values: Adoddle users can now search for blank values within all custom attributes listed in the Files & Forms area. This facility enables users to filter records where the value in the custom attributes are not set. In the Files tab, the blank value search is allowed for these filters - Activity Locks, Action Completion Date and Action Due Date. In the Forms tab, the blank value search is allowed for these filters - Action Completion Date, Action Due Date, Close Due Date and User Ref.

Option to disable “Print and download” while sharing Adoddle link: A new option “Print and download” is included while using the existing Share Adoddle Link functionality. It would get enabled by default if “Open and view” box is ticked. Once the “Print and download” option is checked off for one or more files, users opening the shared link won’t be able to either print or download those files. This option can be used where users want to give sneak preview of work done without allowing recipients to print or download the file.

Changes for using Advanced Viewer: Adoddle users using Advanced Viewer on systems running operating system versions older than Windows 10 i.e. Windows 8.1, Windows 8 and Windows 7 will have to obtain Windows Update KB2999226 to keep using Advanced Viewer seamlessly. This particular Windows Update can be downloaded from the link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226.

Ability to lock Edit Attributes for Placeholders: Adoddle users can now lock and unlock Edit Attributes for file placeholders.

1.2 Adoddle Projects

Default comment setting for new projects: The project settings for new projects shall now be setup with default value of “Create Comments automatically” enabled. Previously, the default value was “Save Markup only”.

1.3 Adoddle Forms

Beta version - Improvements to Form User Interface: With this release Adoddle is offering a Beta Version of new improved Form user interface. This new user interface brings in significant improvisation to provide a single page view with dockable sections which enable users to view the threaded messages whilst also viewing the form message. Form distribution feature is also improved to provide a simple and easy mechanism to distribute / batch apply or view the existing form distribution list. Associations / Attachments and Audit History has a list view with ability to manage functions within. This being beta-version, users will have the ability to switch to it and revert back to their original view.

App settings “Originator can Change Status” enabled for Non-Controller based forms: The App settings shall now allow Administrators to enable / disable the “Originator can Change Status” settings even for Non-Controller based forms.

Issue fixed related to audit history export: The issue of the organization name not appearing in the recipient column while exporting audit history for a specific form is now resolved.

1.4 Adoddle Workflows

Option to add validations on standard file meta-data while editing attributes: The Adoddle Workflow Manager is upgraded to enable validation for standard file meta-data like Doc. Ref., Document Title, Rev., Revision Notes, Purpose of Issue and Public / Private option. This is managed via a Groovy script which is configurable within the System actions and can be validated for formats, mandatory / non-mandatory. While creating Workflow trigger, such System Actions can then be configured to trigger in both Pre and Post action modes by selecting the “Edit Attributes” event.

Groovy Scripts Library Link: Administrators / Project teams configuring workflows can now view the standard Groovy scripts library via a link that shall be available in the System action window.

1.5 Adoddle Discussions

Change related to display of Markups in Discussions tab: Adoddle users creating a markup without launching Create Comment page and the Project setting is set to "Save Markup Only", such File markups when opened in HTML Viewer will get displayed by default now and will be available for review. Hence, display of markups will be same in Discussions tab as it is in Files tab for above scenario.

1.6 Adoddle Extensibility

Capture Time zone in the user creation page: Administrators having the ability to create new users within the Adoddle Admin function can now also define the Time zone of the new user. This Time zone value shall be defaulted based on the time zone mapped to the user Organization.

Issue fixed related to creating users: While a new user is created by Administrator having Key Professional or Key Unlimited will set the default key for new user to Key Professional. If Administrator has Key Lite, then default key for new user shall be set to Key Lite.

NEC Contract Manager help guides accessible in Adoddle View: The NEC Contract Manager help guides are now accessible from Online Help section in Adoddle view, apart from the Help & Training section in Classic view.

2. Adoddle Field

Adoddle Field is a simple, easy-to-use tool that enables project collaboration with contacts and project teams on the move. Sign in with your Adoddle account to publish and share and Mark-up drawings, photos, other files, and issue actions to team members, allowing you to stay on top of time critical review processes. View and mark-up Building Information Models (BIM) in 3D, including the ability to drill down into the components of the model and review discipline-specific elements. Adoddle Field enables you to view and review multiple model files from disparate BIM Authoring toolsets merged into one unified model in Adoddle cBIM in the cloud. Raise RFIs, Defects / Punch lists, or any of the hundreds of other project workflow forms available in the Adoddle App Library and issue them to team members directly from your tablet with direct and automatic links to the relevant parts of any file or model. The Adoddle platform maintains a full and complete audit trail of all communications as a project progresses.

2.1 Adoddle Field

Recent Defects in Adoddle Field: The Defects module is improved to allow users to create new defects from recent defects. Users can also copy a defect by swiping right to create a new defect.

Support deletion of unsynchronized defects: The defects created in offline mode and pending synchronization can easily be deleted by swiping left.

Additional information within Field notifications: The Adoddle Field notification shall now include more information like Project name, Document name, Defect title, Form title and Discussion title as the case maybe.

3. Adoddle Navigator

Adoddle Navigator is a user-friendly desktop application that allows you to upload 2D and 3D files and collaborate with Project teams. Adoddle users have the option to synchronize information locally while working offline on the native applications before signing-in to Adoddle and publish them as revisions.

Adoddle Navigator integrates directly with Autodesk Revit and facilities exchanging data from 3D BIM Collaborative environment such as COBie (Construction Operation Building Information Exchange). Users can connect all project data to models regardless of their BIM Authoring tool. With a centralized storage of all versions of your models in a collaborative online environment, users can harness the power of Big Data and extensible toolkit for Collaborative BIM.

Support for Clash Detection in Federated Models: Adoddle users can now carry out Clash Detection on Federated Models using Adoddle Navigator. This enables users to get first-hand information which helps them to identify and inspect hard and soft clashes on which users can collaborate real time using Project Forms.

Issue fixed related to Adoddle Navigator: Adoddle Navigator now restricts user to get the latest version of files / check-out / make available offline if users lose the privilege to download files.

Notes:

1. Updating the applets does NOT require Administrator permissions on the local machine.

2. Clicking on “Always” option when prompted with a certificate will ensure that similar prompts do not appear for current as well as any other applet signed by Asite. If this option has already been activated, these updates will be automatically installed.

3. Adoddle Navigator installation / update requires administrator rights.
