This article helps you understand the improved process for managing users in Asite.

Below are some of the key changes while managing users on Asite with the July 2024 release:

In a project or a project template, 'User Invitations' option...

  • In right click view:

While assigning access to users on a project...

  • If a user is not found matching the entered email id:

    Clicking on the suggested link for adding the entered email id, a prompt appears indicating that user is not found matching the entered email id on the platform, with an option to invite the user if required:

  • Invited user receives an email with an option to accept or reject. Only if the invited user is registered and accepts the invitation, they can directly get access to the project, otherwise they have to follow the steps to create a new user separately.


...or while adding users using the new 'Add Users' option (as referred to above), separate options are available to create new user or contact support.

  • If a user is not found matching the entered email id:

    • If you have access to create user as needed, you get an option to create a new user rightaway (by clicking on the suggested link for creating a new user).

    • If you don't have access to create new users as needed, you are directed to contact Asite Support (by clicking on the suggested link for contacting support).

  • Add User Process Snapshots



  • Invitation process no longer exists. Users added via 'Add User' option in the project directly get assigned to the project based on selected role. However, there is no change to the existing process of creating a new user.

  • An email notification is sent only to notify users that they are assigned to the selected project.​ When compared with sending email invitations, this new option eliminates the need to wait for the invited user until they respond to the invitation, or avoid issues related to invitation links getting expired after a certain time period.

While managing users in 'Admin' tab,...

  • Search by email is supported.



  • Listing can be filtered based on user status and subscription status.

...searching & filtering options are improved.

  • Along-with email search, you can search by name or other text search options. Alternately, search from column header is also available based on the type of field.

  • Listing can also be filtered based on any other account specific information you have available regarding a particular user.
