Add / Replace Secondary File

This article helps you understand how to add a new secondary file or replace an existing secondary file on your Asite project.

Updated yesterday

Asite allows users to upload and attach or replace the secondary file for a document. Availability of the option to add or replace secondary file may depend upon your accessibility. Steps to add / replace secondary file are as mentioned below:

1. You can add new / replace secondary file for any existing document by doing a right click on the file record in files listing area.

2. Select right click option of 'Edit' and then click on sub option 'Secondary File'. Availability of 'Edit Secondary File' option may depend upon whether or not the 'Edit Attribute' activity is locked or unlocked for the selected file.

3. Select the secondary file to be uploaded from the local machine by clicking on 'Select Files'.

Secondary files are limited to 1 secondary file per primary file. If you have multiple

secondary files for one primary file, it is advisable that you combine them and upload

as a single .zip or .rar file.

4. Once the file is selected, click on 'Upload' to complete uploading / replacing a secondary file for main document.
