Add / Replace Secondary File

This article helps you understand how to add a new secondary file or replace an existing secondary file on your Asite project.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Asite allows users to add a new secondary file or replace the existing secondary file on a primary file by uploading a new one. The availability of the option to add or replace a secondary file may depend upon your accessibility. The steps to add a new secondary file or replace a secondary file are as mentioned below:

1. Right-click the file record in the file listing area where you need to add a new secondary file or replace the existing secondary file.

2. Select 'Edit' then select 'Secondary File'.

The availability of the 'Edit Secondary File' option may depend upon whether the 'Edit Attribute' activity is locked or unlocked for the selected file.

3. Click 'Select Files' and select the secondary file to be uploaded from your local device storage.

Secondary files are limited to 1 secondary file per primary file. If you have multiple

secondary files for one primary file, it is advisable that you combine them and upload

as a single .zip or .rar file.

4. Once the file is selected, click 'Upload' to complete uploading/replacing a secondary file for the selected primary file.
