Pre-requisites:

Permission as mentioned below, on the project template from which a project is to be cloned:

Below are the steps to clone a project from a project template:

1. Right-click on the template record you need to clone as a project and select the 'Clone Project' option.

2. You will see a 'Clone Project' window. Enter project details as needed. Following is a description of the available fields.

Project Name - Name the new project you are cloning from a template.

​Client Name - Select a client organization for whom you are creating this project. As you type in the initial characters, suggested names start appearing.

​Application Installed - Inherited from the template, this field cannot be edited.
​
​Select Viewer - Inherited from the template, this field cannot be edited.
​
​Geography - To select the appropriate geography from the dropdown list.
​
​Status - By default, it is open and watermarked as the project is created as new.
​
​Subscription - Inherited from the template, this field cannot be edited.
​
​BIM - To enable BIM (Building Information Model) in this project.
​
​Instant Email Notify - To send instant email notifications to users across all roles who would be part of the new project once created, based on how the template is set up.

Once done, click 'Save' to complete cloning the project from the selected project template.

A prompt will appear if unpublished workflow definitions are found in the template selected for cloning the project. In such a scenario, you can continue cloning the project without publishing those workflow definitions or cancel the cloning if required.
