This article describes the different filters available within the task tab.

Updated over 5 months ago

Asite provides a filter mechanism within 'Tasks' tab enabling users to filter task records based on the selected filter criteria. The task filters are persisted and retained during the user session enabling ease of use even if user navigates to other tabs and returns back to 'Tasks' tab.

There are two main types of filters available in 'Tasks' tab - 'Filter By' and 'Group By'. Click on one of the below links to access their detailed help:

Apart from this, you can also use the search box available at top to enter a keyword and search for required task.

To search for your groups or projects using keywords, use the magnifying glass icon in left panel corresponding to the respective options.

Filter Count

The filter count will not show when completion status selected is 'All', Assignee selected is 'All' and all Types including 'Files', 'Apps' and 'Groups' are selected.

The filter count will show as '1' when only one of the filter criteria is selected specifically - from either completion status or assignee or type.

The filter count will show as '2' when any two of the filter criteria are selected specifically - from either completion status and/or assignee and/or type.

The filter count will show as '3' when all three of the filter criteria are selected specifically - completion status, assignee and type.

Group By

The available options under 'Group By' filter are described below:

Group By: Due Date

You can select 'Due Date' option within 'Group By' filter to group and list the tasks based on their due date. Tasks will be grouped in below mentioned sequence:

Overdue - This group will display all the tasks that are overdue. i.e. due date has passed.

Today - This group will display all the tasks that are due today.

This week - This group will display all the tasks that are due within current week. i.e. 'today +7 days'.

Due in Future: This group will display all the tasks that are due after the current week. i.e. after 'today + 7 days'.

Others: This group will display all the tasks that do not have due date.

Group By: Priority

You can select 'Priority' option within 'Group By' option to group and list the tasks based on their priority. Tasks will be grouped in below mentioned sequence:

Normal: This group will display all the tasks whose priority is set as 'Normal'.

High: This group will display all the tasks whose priority is set as 'High'.

Critical: This group will display all the tasks whose priority is set as 'Critical'.

You can quickly change priority of a task by toggling them between the groups using the burger icon available for each record upon mouse hover. i.e. by dragging a task from one group to another.

For example - Assuming a task is having priority set as 'Normal', and you need to set it to 'High'. Record will be displayed in 'Normal' group, go to that group hold that record using the burger icon, and drag it down to the desired group i.e. 'High'. This will automatically change the priority of that task to 'High'.

Group By: Type

You can select 'Type' within Group by option to group and list the task based on their type. Tasks will be grouped in below mentioned sequence:

Files: This group will display all the tasks which are assigned via Files.

Apps: This group will display all the tasks which are assigned via Forms.

Groups: This group will display all the tasks of the groups accessible to you.

Note: To expand or collapse group irrespective of the selected 'Group By' option, click on the right arrow and the down arrow icons respectively.
