My Tasks

This article describes how tasks can be used on both groups and on files and forms.

The 'My Tasks' option under the 'Tasks' tab enables viewing the details regarding your pending tasks on groups or projects accessible to you. Tasks created in groups can be viewed as well as edited, whereas the tasks on files or forms can only be viewed.

'My Tasks' is also the default page that appears while moving to the 'Tasks' tab from any other tab. To access the 'My Tasks' page manually, click the 'My Tasks' link shown at the top of the left-hand panel.

Tasks listed under 'My Tasks' can be classified under two types:


Tasks on Groups

You will be able to view as well as edit group tasks. Click here for detailed help on how to edit tasks.

To view tasks on specific groups, select the name of the group from the left panel. Use the magnifying glass icon available to search for a group by its name.

Below is a description of the various icons available on a task created from the 'Tasks' tab:

Field Name

Purpose

Complete Task

Quick option to complete task and change task status to 'Completed'.

This icon will show disabled if the task status is already completed.

Completed group tasks will show with a strike-through mark in the tasks listing as shown below (not applicable for project tasks):

Group Task

Indicates that this task is on a group.

- To Do /

- Open /

- In Progress /

- Cancelled /

- On Hold /

- Completed /

- Archived

Status

To view or change task status.

Mouse hover on this icon to view the current task status as a tooltip.

- Normal /

- High /

- Critical

Priority

To view or change task priority.

Mouse hover on this icon to view the current task priority as a tooltip.

History

To view task history.

Edit Task

To edit task details like due date, assignee, title, priority, status, upload attachments, description or leave an aMessage / start a discussion on the given task.


Tasks on Files / Forms

You will be able to view details regarding tasks i.e. tasks assigned on files or forms however these cannot be edited.

To view tasks on files or forms within specific projects, select the name of the project from the left panel. Use the search icon available to search for a project by its name.

Click on the link showing on the file or form name to open that particular file or form in the viewer as a new browser tab and complete the pending task. Below is a description of the various icons available on a task for files or forms:

Purpose

Complete Task

Click to open the corresponding file or form in the viewer and then complete the task as needed.

This icon will show disabled if the task status is already completed.

File Task

Indicates that a given task is a file task.

Form Task

Indicates that a given task is a form task.
