Install aDrive Desktop

This article helps you understand how to install aDrive Desktop on your computer.

Updated this week

aDrive Desktop is a useful tool for editing and synchronising files stored on Asite Cloud (using a supported native application as applicable) and publishing a new revision, depending on your access.

Below are the steps to install aDrive Desktop on your computer:

1. Once you have the aDrive Desktop installer, run the installer file (saved in .exe format) downloaded through the browser.

The aDrive Desktop installer file should be available to download by clicking a link in a prompt message which appears when right-clicking on a file from the Asite web application, selecting the 'Edit' option, then 'Edit File Locally'.

Once prompted, download and save the file to the local storage on your computer.

If aDrive Desktop is already installed on your computer, click the 'Login' button on the right side of the screen. Click here for detailed help on logging in to aDrive Desktop.

2. Depending on your computer's operating system, you may get a prompt asking to give the required permissions to run the app. You can select the required permissions and continue.

3. Installer Setup will open. Click 'Next' to continue.

4. Review the license terms and confirm your agreement by clicking 'I Agree'.

6. Click 'Next' and the installation will start processing.

Next, the aDrive Desktop login screen will appear.
