Asite users can view the contents of a file (based on supported file formats) published in a .zip or .rar file format, in projects where Universal Web Viewer is configured for viewing files (See how to configure the file viewer while creating a project). This feature is supported for .zip or .rar files published as primary files and/or secondary files. This feature is supported in the Asite web application only.
Below is an example of what a .zip file would look like when it is opened. You will see a list of all the files and folders included in that .zip file, which you opened.
At this stage, you have the option to use File Viewer Standard Functions if required.
View and download the file from the ZIP/RAR Folder.

To view the contents of a zip file attached as a Secondary file, open the file.
Click on the three dots, select More info and click on Attachment and association.
The list of files will be shown on the right side of the screen.
Click on the File name to view the file.
Download
When you open the file, a menu bar will appear in the top right corner of the file.
To download the file, click the Download
icon located on the right side of the window.
NOTE: This functionality applies to files and forms, including their attachments.
The same steps apply when accessing ZIP files from form attachments and related areas.
If the zip listing contains files in an unsupported format, clicking on it will automatically download the file.
The file will open in the viewer. Click here for detailed help on Universal Web Viewer functions. Please note that markup options in the viewer will not be available while viewing ZIP or RAR file contents.
In case the file viewer doesn't support the selected file format, a message will be displayed indicating that the selected file cannot be viewed online.
