The universal web viewer in Asite is a file viewer optimized for speed, performance, and cross-platform support.

Note: Any OLE objects in a file cannot be viewed in the Asite viewer, as they are not supported.

Task Tools
Icon | Name | Description |
Toggle side panel | To hide or show the viewer's side panel, which includes the thumbnails or outline view. | |
Thumbnail | Displays the thumbnail previews for each file page within the side panel. Clicking on a thumbnail quickly navigates the viewer to the selected page. | |
Outlines | To view outlines within the side panel. | |
Layers | To view existing layers on drawing / PDF files (depending on file type and the availability of layers) within the side panel. E.g. a window layer on a drawing file. You can turn selected layers on or off using the available checkboxes. Note: The DWF file format is not supported for viewing layers. | |
Bookmarks | To create new bookmarks or view and edit existing bookmarks created by you, within the side panel. Only one bookmark may be added for each page. | |
Signatures | To view any existing signatures created on file, if any, within the side panel. | |
Pan | To scroll through or move around the file. | |
Select | To change the selection mode. |

Continuous | To set the page transition to 'Continuous' mode. | |
Single | To display one page at a time, the file is treated as a series of pages that the user moves through. | |
Double | Display two pages at once, side by side, as a spread. The first page always starts on the left side. | |
Cover | Display pages side by side as a spread. The first page always starts from the right side. | |
Counter-clockwise | To rotate the page 90 degrees counterclockwise at a time. | |
Clockwise | To rotate the page 90 degrees clockwise at a time. | |
Zoom Out | To zoom out of the file view. | |
Zoom In | To zoom in on the file view. | |
Zoom Level | To set the zoom level based on a fixed percentage. | |
Fit to Width | To set the zoom level based on the screen width. | |
Fit to Page | To set the zoom level based on page size. | |
Marquee Zoom | To zoom in on a particular file region. | |
Hide | To hide markups on the file. | |
Show | To show markups on the file. | |
Page Navigation | To navigate to a specific page based on the page number. |
Markup Tools
The markup toolbar contains related groups of markup tools which can be used to create markup. Markup tools remain active until another tool is selected.

Add new markup | To view markup-related tools, including the option to add a markup. | |
Open markup for edit | From the markup list, you can edit the notes of the markups you created. Tapping on the subject of the markup will take you to the page where the markup is located, and you can select the markup. The option to edit markup will be available only until it is not associated with any file aMessage. | |
Save | When you click on this icon, all the markups on the file will be saved. | |
Open markup for review | To review all existing markups on the file. | |
Consolidate markup | To consolidate selected markups on the file. | |
Freehand tool | To draw freehand shapes. | |
Text Highlight tool | To highlight text using available colour options. | |
Underline | To make the selected markup text underlined. | |
Squiggly | To add a squiggly underline below the markup text. | |
Strikeout | To strike out selected markup text. | |
Rectangle | To draw a rectangle shape. | |
Ellipse | To draw an ellipse shape. | |
Line | To draw a line shape. | |
Arrow | To draw an arrow shape. | |
Polyline | To draw a polyline shape. | |
Polygon | To draw a polygon shape. | |

Signature | To add a signature to the markup. Once a signature has been selected, you'll also see an overlay of the signature and can position it as needed. Users can use their created signatures until related local browser data is cleared, up to 2 values. | |
Free text | To add free text to the markup. | |
Redaction | To hide sensitive information wherever applicable, use a rectangular shape to mark areas for redaction. | |
Callout | To create a callout in a specific file area. | |
Stamp | To add an image stamp to the file. It helps display important file-related information as a stamp. Stamp images can be in .JPG or .PNG file format. | |
Add URL | To add a URL to the file. Users with access to the markup can open it by clicking the URL icon. | |
Eraser | To erase freehand shapes or signature annotations. | |
Style | To apply styling to the selected markup. | |
Fit Markup Text | To fix the text in the selected markup. | |
Rotate Stamp Image | Drag the icon to rotate the selected stamp image in the desired direction. | |
Stamp All Pages | To apply the selected markup stamp to all pages of the open file. | |
Bring Stamp to Front | Bring the stamp image to the front against any other (stamp) images added to the open file. | |
Send Stamp to Back | Place the stamp behind the other stamps (images) added to the open file. | |
Undo | To undo the previous action. | |
Redo | To redo the previous action. | |
Delete | To delete the selected markup. |
Measurement Tools
Measurement annotations can be used to calculate the physical size of a location in the document. You can set a scale (as shown in the screenshot below) so that, for example, one inch on the document corresponds to ten feet in real life and display this on the document. Available tools include line distance annotation, polyline perimeter annotation and polygon area annotation.
