Change Status of a File open in Viewer

This article helps you understand how to change status of a file that is open in viewer.

Users on Asite having the 'Can Change Status' privilege on a project can change the status of files on that particular project.

Follow the steps to open the required file in viewer, for which status needs to be changed.

You can change file status by clicking on status dropdown which will open a popup.

Information related to earlier changes made in status for selected file, if any, will show up at the bottom of the popup.

'Status Change' popup contains:

Change Status To - To select a status you want to replace existing status by. Status dropdown lists all statuses accessible to you.

Reason for Status Change Notes - To specify status change reason.

Create Discussion Automatically - To automatically create a discussion on selected file based on this status change.

Mark Document Revisions as Private - To mark the document as private.

Mark all User's Outstanding Tasks Complete - To complete all user's outstanding tasks (other than 'For Comment Incorporation') on this file.

Mark all my Outstanding Tasks Complete - To complete all your outstanding tasks (other than 'For Comment Incorporation') on this file.

Click 'Save' once done to apply the new status on the file open in viewer. Else, click 'Close' to close the popup without saving the changes made if any.
