Pre-requisites:
Role privilege, as mentioned below, on the project in which an existing workflow definition is to be copied:
You must have the 'Manage Workflow Rules' role privilege.
The steps to copy an existing workflow definition within the same project are mentioned below:
1. Navigate to the 'Workflows' tab and go to the project where you want to copy the workflow definition.
2. Select the workflow definition to be copied and right-click the same.
Another way to copy a workflow definition is to select it using the corresponding checkbox and click the 'More Options' link at the top right. This will open a popup screen with an option to copy the selected workflow definition.
3. Click the 'Copy Workflow Definition' option. A popup window will appear where you can enter the required information to copy the selected workflow definition.
Workflow Name - Enter a name for the new copied workflow.
Description - Enter a brief description of the new workflow being created.
Workflow Context - The selected workflow for copying will pre-populate the workflow context, which cannot be edited.
Total Workflow Days - Total length of the workflow in number of days.
Open designer with copied Workflow Definition - Keep this box selected to proceed to the workflow designer with the newly created copy of the workflow definition, from which you can begin making the necessary changes to the design. If this box is unselected, you will be returned to the workflow definition listing.
4. Click 'Copy' when finished. A new workflow definition will be created based on the workflow definition that the user selected as per step 2.
