The objective of the QR (Quick Response) code function is to scan the QR code from your mobile device and check if the file you are viewing is the latest or superseded. QR codes are a very convenient way to display a small bit of information that mobile devices can easily scan and process.
A unique QR code will be generated for each file uploaded to the folder where QR code configuration is enabled. As part of the configuration, you must set the rules before publishing the files. Below are the steps to use this function:
Enable and Configure QR code on project - Click here for detailed help on enabling and configuring the QR code on your project.
Enable QR code on project folder - To enable the QR code on the project folder, click here for detailed help.
Once enabled on a project folder, the QR code will start appearing on files uploaded next time onwards (in that particular folder).
Verification of QR code from a mobile device - The Site Manager or the Front-Line Staff member who wants to verify whether the file is the latest one will have to scan the QR Code using the mobile device. If necessary, the required app to scan the QR code has to be installed separately on the mobile device.
The QR code value will be verified on the scan.
The Site Manager or the Front-Line Staff member who scans the QR code from the mobile device will receive a result on the mobile device per the QR code configuration.
