This article helps you understand how to use QR (Quick Response) code function available for files.

Updated yesterday

The objective of the QR (Quick Response) code function is that you can scan the QR code from your mobile device and check if the file you are viewing is latest or superseded. QR codes are a very convenient way to display a small bit of information that can be easily scanned and processed typically by mobile devices.

A unique QR code will be generated for each of the files uploaded to the folder where QR code configuration is enabled. As part of configuration, you will have to set the rules before publishing the files. Follow the steps given below to use this function.

  1. Enable & Configure QR code on project - Click here for detailed help on how to enable and configure QR code on your project.

  2. Enable QR code on project folder - Click here for detailed help on how to enable QR code on the project folder where you need to use QR code option (based on project configuration).
Once QR code option is enabled on a project folder, the QR code will then start appearing on files uploaded next time onwards (in that particular folder) based on configuration.

  3. Verification of QR code from mobile device - The Site Manager or Front Line Staff member who wants to verify that the file is latest one or not, will have to scan it's QR Code using the mobile device. Necessary app to scan the QR code will need to be installed separately on your mobile device if required.

The QR code values will go for the verification process by the hyperlink of the QR code of the document.

The Site Manager or Front Line Staff member who scanned the QR code from the mobile device will get a result on the mobile device as per the QR code configuration.
