This article shows you tasks and how they work.

Task refers to any activity that a user needs to accomplish within a defined period of time.

Broadly, tasks in Asite are divided into two categories:

  1. Group Tasks: Tasks that are assigned to users using Groups.

  2. Project Tasks: Tasks that are assigned to users on Files & Forms

Users can keep track of all the group tasks, and project tasks that are assigned to them via 'Tasks' tab.

To view all tasks assigned to you.

Displays groups accessible to you. You can filter tasks in listing area by selecting a specific group.

Displays projects selected in project filter. You can filter tasks in listing area by selecting a specific project.

Search Group

To search for required group by typing in the characters included in its name.

To create a messaging group of your contacts. A group is required to create a task.

Search Project

To search for required project by typing in the characters included in its name.

Complete Task

Quick option to complete task.

Click to open the corresponding file or form in viewer and then complete task as needed.

This icon will show disabled if the task status is already completed.

Completed group tasks will show with a strike-through mark in the tasks listing as shown below (not applicable for project tasks):

Type

Indicates task type.

Title

To view / edit task title.

In case of files or forms, task name and file / form name will be displayed along with the name of project.

Click to open the file / form in viewer.

Status (For group tasks only)

To view / change task status.

Mouse hover on this icon to view current task status as tooltip.

To view / change task priority.

Assignee

Displays task assignee.

Due Date

Displays task due date.

History (For group tasks only)

To view task history.

Edit Task

To edit this task.

Search Task

To search for required task by typing in the characters included in its title.

To filter tasks listing based on selected criteria.

To group your tasks based on due date, priority and type.
