Create a 'Location Task' Form

This article helps you understand how to raise a location task form.

Users on Asite having required privileges can create/raise a location task form directly from the web application.

Detailed help is as mentioned below:

  1. Go to the 'Field' tab and select the project in which a location task is to be raised.

  2. Select the location or sub-location where you need to raise a location task.

  3. Now, click on the location plan icon available at the top to access the drawing view.

  4. In the drawing view, click on the + icon available at the top and then click on the exact drawing area where the location task is to be raised.

  5. Select the form type 'Location Task'. It will allow you to raise a location task, i.e. create a location task form. The 'Recent Apps' displays a list of form types recently used (a maximum of 5) in the last 30 days for form creation, if any.

  6. Key in the required details to proceed further.

    Details required are:

    1. Recently Created Location Task - Select a recently created location task, if any, to copy and edit its details and create a new location task.

    2. Task Type - Select a type for the location task you are creating. The values in this dropdown can be configured by creating a dropdown attribute with the name 'Task Type' using configurable attributes.

    3. Department - Select a department for the location task you are creating. This will list values configured as defect types.

    4. Subject - Select a title for this particular location task.

    5. Description - Enter a description for the location task you are creating.

    6. Start Date - Select a start date for this particular location task.

    7. Expected Due Days - Enter the expected number of due days.

    8. Assign To - Select a user for assigning this particular location task.

    9. Location icon - To select a location from available options in the dropdown. In case the selected location is already calibrated, the location details will be pre-filled. Click here for detailed help on how to select a location for the form if required.

    10. Distribute icon - To initiate the distribution of this form. Click here for detailed help on how to distribute this form.

    11. Attachment icon - To attach images, documents, audio or video recording files to this defect form. Click here for detailed help on how to attach external files to this form.

  7. Verify the details once and click 'Send' to create the location task.
    The newly created location task will appear in the listing as a new record.
