Replying to File aMessages

This article will explain how to reply to aMessages on files shared with you.

Updated this week

How Do I Reply to File aMessages?

  1. After selecting the project you'd like to access, switch to the Files tab.

  2. From the sub-tabs beneath the main navigation, click Comments.

  3. Right-click the discussion you want to reply to, hover over New and then select Reply.

NOTE: The availability of the Reply option is dependent on whether Comment Review is enabled for the selected project. If Comment Review is enabled, the Reply option will not be available.

Understanding the Available Fields

Once you've completed the above steps, a new tab will automatically open showing the aMessage, allowing you to respond directly.

Below is a description of the available fields:

  • Clicking To opens a list of all users, roles, organisations and distribution groups in the project.

  • When a recipient is selected, two fields appear - one for assigning a task and another for setting a deadline.

  • The mail icon (gold when enabled, grey when disabled) controls whether the recipient gets an email notification or only sees the comment/ task when logged into Asite.
