Working with Quality Plans

This article will explain how to access quality plans and use the available options to effectively manage them.

Allows users to create and manage Quality Test Plans within a project.

Can View Quality Test Plan

Allows users to view the assigned Quality Plans.


Accessing Quality Plans from the Quality Tab

  1. Select the required project.

  2. Navigate to the Quality tab.

  3. The Quality tab then displays all Quality Plans within that project.


How Do I Create a Quality Plan?

  1. Select the required project.

  2. Navigate to the Quality tab.

  3. Click Create Plan button (top right).

  4. Enter the name of the quality plan in the pop-up.

  5. Click Create New.

  6. Add locations and activities to the newly created plan.

    TIP: For information on how to add locations or activities to the newly created plan, check Add Location and Add Activity.

NOTE:

Workspace Administrators can mark a Quality Test Plan as Inactive by right-clicking it and selecting Inactive.

  • Inactive quality plans only appear in the Quality tab when the Active/Inactive filter is applied. To learn about how to apply a filter, click here.


Available Options in the Quality Tab

Search Bar

The Search bar lets you find a specific quality plan by entering its name.

As you type, the list will filter automatically to display matching quality plans.


Column-Level Sorting

You can sort the order of the quality plans displayed by clicking any column header, including Title, Creation Date, % Completion, Created By, etc.

EXAMPLE

To sort the Quality Plans by their Creation Date, click the column labelled Created Date, and plans will be displayed in chronological order from the earliest creation date to the most recent.

  • Click the column header again to reverse the order and show the most recently created plans first.

  • Similarly, you can sort the list using any of the available column headers as required.


  • Filter Options for Quality Plans

    The table below lists the filter options available for quality test plans, including the Filter input type, function, and how to use it.

NOTE:

  • Each filter has its own input type (dropdown, text box or date picker).

  • Selecting a filter will open a menu where you can enter the required input.

Filters Quality Plans based on the percentage of completion provided.

Type the desired completion percentage into the text box.

Created By

Dropdown

Filters quality plans created by the user who originally created them.

Search for or select one or more users from the dropdown.

Created Date

Date Picker

Filters Quality Plans created on a specific date, between or within specific dates.

Choose Within, Between or On. Then enter the required dates or select them from the calendar.

Last Updated By

Dropdown

Filters Quality Plans based on the user who last updated them.

Search or select one or more users from the dropdown.

Last Updated On

Date Picker

Filters Quality Plans last updated on, between or within selected dates.

Choose from Within, Between or On. Then enter the required dates or pick them from the calendar.

Title

Text box

Filters Quality Plans based on matching or partially matching titles.

Type the full or partial title into the text box.

Active/Inactive

Dropdown

Filters quality plans by their status.

Search for Active, Inactive or both from the dropdown.


How Do I Export Quality Test Plans List in MS Excel?

  • Click the Export icon (top right).

    When exporting, an MS Excel file will be downloaded containing the quality plan metadata based on your selected export option.

    • Select from the two available options.

      Available options are:

Description

Export with Current Fields

The Excel file includes only the fields currently displayed in your listing area (Selected Fields).

Export with All Fields

The Excel file includes all fields available in Asite, regardless of what is currently shown in your listing area.

NOTE: Even if you select specific Quality Plans to export, the system will export the entire list currently displayed in the listing area.

Maximise Icon

For a maximised view of the listed quality plans, click the maximise icon. Select it again to return to a normal view.

Customise Button

Edit metadata columns as per your preference. To learn more about this option, click here.

Show Button

Set how many Quality Test Plans to display at once in your listings.

TIP: You can further edit the columns via the column header by sliding them in your preferred order.
