Working with Quality Plans

This article will explain how to access Quality Plans and use the available options to effectively manage them.

Allows users to create and manage Quality Test Plans within a project.

Can View Quality Test Plan

Allows users to view the assigned Quality Plans.


Accessing Quality Plans from the Quality Tab

Select the project you want to work on using the Global Project Filter at the top of the screen. The Quality tab then displays all Quality Plans available for the selected project.


How to Create a Quality Plan?

  1. In the Quality tab, select the concerned project from the left side and click the Create Plan button (top right).

  2. Name the plan you want to create, then click Create New.

  3. Add locations and activities to the newly created plan.

NOTE:

  • Only Workspace Administrators can mark a Quality Test Plan as Inactive by right-clicking the selected plan.

  • Once a Quality Test Plan is marked as Inactive, it is hidden from the default list and is displayed only when the Active/Inactive filter is applied. ​


Top Bar Options

  • Search and Filter Quality Plans

    The Search icon on your taskbar allows you to search for specific Quality Plans by their name.

  • Enter the full or partial name, and the Quality tab updates to display the matching results.


  • Column-Level Sorting

    You can sort the Quality Plans list by clicking any available column headers, such as Title, Creation Date, % Completion, Created By, etc.

EXAMPLE

To sort the Quality Plans list by their Creation Date, click on the Created Date column header, and the list will display Quality Plans in chronological order, from the earliest to the most recent.

Similarly, you can sort the list using any of the available column headers as needed.


  • Standard Filter Options for Quality Plans

    The table below lists the standard filter options available for Quality Test Plans, including their input type, function, and how to use them.

NOTE:

  • Each filter has its own input type (dropdown, text box or date picker).

  • Selecting a filter will open a menu where you can enter the required input.

Enter the completion percentage in the text box.

Filters Quality Plans created by specific users.

Search or select one or more options from the dropdown.

Filters Quality Plans that were created on a specific date, between chosen dates or within a selected timeframe.

Choose from Within, Between or On. Provide your input or pick a date from the calendar.

Last Updated By

Dropdown

Filters Quality Plans based on the specified user(s) who last updated them.

Search or select one or more options from the dropdown.

Last Updated On

Date Picker

Filters Quality Plans that were last updated on a specific date, between chosen dates or within a selected timeframe.

Choose from Within, Between or On. Provide your input or pick a date from the calendar.

Title

Text box

Filters Quality Plans with the matching title.

Enter a full or partial file name into the text box.

Active/Inactive

Dropdown

Filters Active or Inactive Quality Plans.

Search or select one or more options from the dropdown.


Export Quality Test Plans List in MS Excel

When you choose to export the Quality Plan list, an MS Excel file will be downloaded containing the Quality Plan metadata based on your selected export option.

To export, there are two available options:

  • Export with Current Fields - only the fields currently displayed in your listing area (Selected Fields) will appear in the exported Excel file.

  • Export with All Fields - the Excel file will include all fields available in Asite, regardless of what is currently shown in your listing area.

NOTE: Even if you select specific Quality Plans to export, the system will export the entire list currently displayed in the listing area.

For a maximised view of the listed Quality Plans, click the maximise icon. Select it again to return to a normal view.

Customise Button

Edit metadata columns as per your preference. To learn more about this option, click here.

Show Button

Set how many Quality Test Plans to display at once in your listings.

TIP: You can further edit the columns via the column header by sliding them in your preferred order.
