Uploading a new File on an Activity
Users on Asite with the required project level privilege 'Can View Quality Test Plan' can upload a new file on an activity already mapped to a project folder.
From the planner screen, click the icon opposite the location where the file needs to be uploaded.
A layered screen will appear as shown below:
Select the first option 'Upload File' to upload a new file.
Click on 'Select Files', then select the file you want to upload from your local device storage.
At this stage, you can upload files using the upload type configured for the folder associated with the selected activity. Click a relevant link below to learn more:
Once the file gets uploaded to the mapped folder, the activity will appear with a status such as 'In Progress' or 'Closed' as applicable depending on the status defined for the selected file in the concerned project.
The 'In Progress' status will apply if the file status does not match the close-out status configured for the selected activity. Accordingly, the 'Closed' status will apply if the file status matches the close-out status configured for the selected activity.
Associating an existing File (from Asite) with an Activity
Users on Asite with the required project-level privilege of 'Can View Quality Test Plan' can associate an existing project file with an activity already mapped to a project folder.
From the planner screen, click the icon opposite the location for which the file needs to be associated.
A layered screen will appear as shown below:
Select the second option 'Associate File' to associate an existing project file.
In the next screen, you can select a file from a list of project files and folders. Use the search filters, or search and navigate to the folder containing the file as needed.
Once you have selected a file to associate using the available checkbox, click 'Associate and Close'. The activity will then appear with a status such as 'In Progress' or 'Closed' as applicable based on the file status.
The 'In Progress' status will apply if the file status does not match the close-out status configured for the selected activity. Accordingly, the 'Closed' status will apply if the file status matches the close-out status configured for the selected activity.
Creating a Form on an Activity
Users on Asite with the required project level privilege 'Can View Quality Test Plan' can create a new form for an activity mapped to a form type on the project.
In the planner screen, click the icon opposite the location against which the form needs to be created.
A layered screen will appear as shown below:
Select the first option 'Create Form' to create a new form.
Enter the form details based on the mapped form type and create the form. For further information, refer to how to create a new form.
Once the form is created based on the mapped form type, the activity will appear with a status such as 'In Progress' or 'Closed' as applicable depending on the form status.
The 'In Progress' status will apply if the form status does not match the close-out status configured for the selected activity. Accordingly, the 'Closed' status will apply if the form status matches the close-out status configured for the selected form type settings.
Associating an existing Form (from Asite) with an Activity
Users on Asite with the required project-level privilege 'Can View Quality Test Plan' can associate an existing form with an activity mapped to a form type on the project.
From the planner screen, click the icon opposite the location against which the form needs to be mapped.
A layered screen will appear as shown below:
Select the second option 'Associate Form' to associate an existing form.
In the next screen, you can select a form from an existing list of project forms. You can use the search filters to find the required form.
Once you have selected a form to associate (using the checkbox) click 'Associate and Close'. The activity will then appear with a status such as 'In Progress' or 'Closed' as applicable depending on the form status.
The 'In Progress' status will apply if the form status does not match the close-out status configured for the selected activity. Accordingly, the 'Closed' status will apply if the form status matches the close-out status configured for the selected form type settings.
Remove a File or Form associated with an Activity
Users on Asite with the required project-level privilege 'Can Manage Quality Test Plan' can remove a file or form associated with an activity.
To remove any existing file or form associated with an activity, click the icon available on that particular activity (in the Planner view). It will give a prompt message asking to confirm the removal of the association. Click 'Remove' to continue. The file or form association will be removed from the activity and the planner will be updated accordingly.
