Uploading a new File on an Activity

Users on Asite having required project level privilege 'Can View Quality Test Plan' can upload a new file on an activity, which is already mapped to a project folder.

From the planner screen, click on icon opposite the location for which file needs to be uploaded.

A layered screen will appear as shown below:

Select the first option 'Upload File' to upload a new file.

Click on 'Select Files', then select the file you want to upload from your local device storage.

At this stage, you can upload files based on the upload type configured for the folder mapped to the selected activity. See how to upload a file using simple upload option, upload a file with attribute details, upload and distribute a file in parallel as required.

Once the file gets uploaded to the mapped folder, the activity will appear with status such as 'In Progress' or 'Closed' as applicable depending on the status defined for selected file in the concerned project.

The 'In Progress' status will apply if the file status is not matching with the close out status configured for the selected activity. Accordingly, the 'Closed' status will apply if the file status is matching with the close out status configured for the selected activity.

Associating an existing File (from Asite) on an Activity

Users on Asite having required project level privilege 'Can View Quality Test Plan' can associate an existing project file on an activity, which is already mapped to a project folder.

From the planner screen, click on icon opposite the location for which file needs to be associated.

A layered screen will appear as shown below:

Select the second option 'Associate File' to associate an existing project file.

In the next screen, you will be able to select a file from an existing list of project files and folders. Use the search filters, or search and navigate to the folder containing file as needed.

Once you have selected a file to associate using the available checkbox, click on 'Associate and Close'. The activity will then appear with status such as 'In Progress' or 'Closed' as applicable depending on the file status.

The 'In Progress' status will apply if the file status is not matching with the close out status configured for the selected activity. Accordingly, the 'Closed' status will apply if the file status is matching with the close out status configured for the selected activity.

Creating a Form on an Activity

Users on Asite having required project level privilege 'Can View Quality Test Plan' can create a new form on an activity, which is already mapped to a form type on the project.

From the planner screen, click on icon opposite the location for which form needs to be created.

A layered screen will appear as shown below:

Select the first option 'Create Form' to create a new form.

Enter the form details as per the mapped form type and create form. See how to create form to understand more.

Once the form gets created as per the mapped form type, the activity will appear with status such as 'In Progress' or 'Closed' as applicable depending on the form status.

The 'In Progress' status will apply if the form status is not matching with the close out status configured for the selected activity. Accordingly, the 'Closed' status will apply if the form status is matching with the close out status configured for the selected form type settings.
