Important Information

Item

Description

Pending Tasks

Cancelling a workflow does not automatically clear tasks already assigned through the workflow and pending completion. Pending tasks must be cleared manually using Clear Tasks for files or forms, as applicable.

Workflow Scope

Cancellation applies only to the selected workflow for the selected object, such as a file, form, or custom object. Other workflows applied to the same object remain unaffected.

Failed Workflow

A workflow with Failed status cannot be cancelled directly. The workflow must first be resumed. For more information, see Resume a Failed Workflow Instance.
